We haven't written in a while because there has been pretty much nothing to report. A whole lot of answering the question "So...any news?" with a grumble or a sigh. We've spent time getting the house more ready. The floors are done and fabulous; Casey is now officially a basement dweller; we've wandered Ikea and pictured all the baby furniture in our house, and have just gone on past. We took a family vacation, Ross is getting ready for summer camp, Casey had a birthday and is now 15! Life goes on as normal...
or does it?
CCAI, our adoption agency just got a new list of babies with special needs. Mike called and talked to the staff, and they hadn't looked through them all (must be a big list) but are hopeful that our baby will be on this list or the next list that comes to them! According to our cyber friends who have adopted before, because we checked the box for either a boy or a girl, we have a big chance of being on this list! Apparently, most adoptive families want only a girl.
We (and as in "we" we mean Mike) are trying not to get our hopes up, but things are looking promising.
Following are pictures of what we've been doing while we wait.
