December

It's been coming for a while. We've become those bloggers who forget they have a blog because they're too busy, or too lazy to write anything that can't fit in a Facebook post. For this we apologize. With no further ado...we bring you...DECEMBER!!!

Big event of the month, our little Luke turned 4!!! He's no longer that fragile little baby we adopted almost three years ago. He's gotten so tall and funny and did we mention handsome? He also is getting much better at speech with loads of words and is much more relaxed about using them.

Fearless Lilah continues to shine. Her "new shoes" with genuine ankles have added 2 inches to our petite little flower. She's getting increasingly snugly (finally!!!) along with being singularly independent.

Casey is home for the holidays!!! She had a fantastic first semester at school, got herself acclimated to the frigid North, and has learned all kinds of mad acting skills such as stage make-up, and lighting. We're going to pretend she's not going back in January.

Ross got into his first school play, he will be appearing in Pippin. It has a plot we don't completely understand, but are excited about anyway. JAZZHANDS!!! He is in the process of growing constantly, he is now almost as tall as Dad, and requires a never ending supply of sleep and food to run the machine.

And now... the photo gallery of highlights!!!

Luke was not as receptive to Santa as Lilah was. He officially gave him the stink eye, but was a good sport about it.

We did manage to get one really good picture of the Fab 4 with Santa!

Christmas Eve brings the holiday tradition of Fondue and Christmas Crackers. Casey demonstrates the proper way to sport the goofy looking paper hats one gets from a Cracker.
.
Luke demonstrates what not to do.

I included this not because it's a hugely flattering picture of Ross, but it gives perspective. Last time Ross put up the star (2 years ago) he had to sit on Dad's shoulders to do it. This is no longer the case!

Absolutely love this picture of Luke and Casey decorating the tree. Luke was so careful and excited. We elected to decorate when Lilah was asleep, next year will be her first year.

Christmas Day brought snow and a sense of harmony and peace.

Not.

This was the first white Christmas in Atlanta in 122 years. That's not a made up fact, it's the truth. What a magical day it turned out to be.

Magical, till we tried to get one decent picture of all 4 kids, an almost impossible feat.

Almost.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us in Atlanta to all of yours!!!
