It is our sincerest hope that a corner is finally being turned. Luke is starting to vocalize, a lot. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense (to us) and it's not quite conversation, but it is a huge deal. He will now get on the phone and carry on a conversation with us. We have no idea what he's talking about, but he's talking and that's all that matters now.
He has gained several new words and sounds in the last few weeks. He met his school speech teacher today for the first time since last school year. When asked who's in his family he said, and I quote "Dada and Mama and Lilah and Sissy and Ross." That's right, a 9 word sentence. It made her cry and us beam.
Apraxia is a strange, strange thing, and I have no desire to go over again how hard it is to not be able to talk to your child, but it's starting to feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
We invite you to sit back and enjoy listening to our silent son reading. Our son who was once the boy who only said "Bwaaah"

Little T is doing okay - he sounds like her. Soon we'll be able to talk to our little ones!
