Now he gets all the rights and privileges that come with being American...social security number, American birth certificate. I suppose he can't be president.
Now that he's all adopted and legal, if we could just get a hold of his little sister.
Jie Jie's adoption is moving with with lightening speed (can you sense sarcasm in a blog?), we are in the "hurry up and wait" stage. Document collection and immigration is the name of the game for the next 3 months (that's how long the I-800 is taking now). We are officially in the China program now and have a Chinese caseworker.
We have been told not to expect a very large travel group, in fact, we should expect to be the only ones in Nanchang during that leg of the trip. Our current plans are for Anne to travel with friend while I stay home with Luke (our American son!!!) The best part of Nanchang, for us, was our travel group, so this is very disappointing news.

That happened to us also. Our first trip to Nanchang was in a large travel grop. The second trip was with just our family. Not quite the same thing. But we survived!!
Congrats on Luke's official domestication. It's a nice feeling to have that under your belt, isn't it?
Now, if only the process would speed up for baby sister...
I would LOVE to go back!! What an amazing ride that was! There were 3 of us that went and it was just perfect!!!
