Something wonderful happened last week. Anne is always searching the Internet for any information that could pertain to or impact little Luke. She found out that there is an American foster home in Beijing (far from Jaingxi where Luke lives) which does work in Luke's tiny rural orphanage. It is run by a man named Doug. Doug, who is our new best friend, goes to Jaingxi twice a month to donate formula to babies in the orphanage where Luke's care is supervised. Anne emailed him, talking about our concerns about Luke's weight. He let us know that he had traveled to Jaingxi recently, and had taken lots of pictures and would post them on a website. Lo and behold, we found this picture of Luke!
We were thrilled, of course, not only because it's a picture of Luke, but because he looks so healthy! He does not appear to be getting our care packages because he's apparently down to one sock. We also wonder what that lady is doing to his head.
Major shout out to Doug for making these pictures available to our family and all other families starving for little morsels of information about their kids.
