This past month has been full of excitement. Once we got all of our paperwork in order, we had to relinquish all control over the process and give everything to CCAI to translate and send off to China. It was a strange feeling of hope and loss to give it all away. Now comes the hard part, we just wait and wait and wait.
It looks like our log in date (LID) which is when we are officially
in the Chinese system will be mid April. The LID is the date we will use to count down to our match with our baby. If we receive a baby with no known medical problems the wait could be 20 months. Since we are open to adopting a child with a mild physical defect (called a waiting child), it could be any time, but probably not. How's that for a mind game?On the home front, we finished Casey's room, and everybody is pleased with it! Check out the pics. Now we can start thinking about the baby's room. The possibility of getting a boy is a little higher when we are open to accepting a waiting child, but still the overwhelming odds are that it will be a girl. Should we go for the pink rosebuds Anne really wants?
